1. The clinicians.
When your child receives ABA therapy from traditional ABA companies, RBT's (Registered Behavior Technicians) and BTs (Behavior Technicians) provide all of the direct therapy to your child. BT's are only trained through the process of a single, 40-hour, online course, prior to being assessed and working directly with your child.
Behavior Panda utilizes the expertise of a PhD (BCBA-D designate) in Behavior Science. Strict training is given to all staff and direct oversight is guaranteed from Dr. Wong. Behavior Panda staff are directly trained and closely supervised to ensure the quality of care received by your child is superb no matter who the direct therapist you receive is.

BCBA's at other ABA companies are stretched extremely thin with a high caseload to increase the company's revenue. This leads to a high rate of BCBA burnout. Furthermore, you typically receive guidance from a BCBA for only an hour per month.

3. The insurance restrictions.
ABA companies paid by insurance are incentivized to minimize time spent planning and monitoring therapy programs as these are not considered 'billable hours'. Further, due to insurance incentives, ABA companies are built wide to capture as many clients as possible in the market. Rates are lower through insurance, but quality suffers greatly and so does parental experience.
